Time for Self-Care

Self-care is any activity that we do deliberately to take care of our mental,  emotional, and physical health. It sounds simple to do but it’s something we often overlook.  More than ever, now is the time to intentionally plan for good self-care.

Whether you’re a parent, educator, student or community member, COVID 19 is having an impact on your life which could mean stress and anxiety.  Counter the stresses by taking time for self care.  

Here are some simple examples of self care activities:

  • Exercise - walk, at home exercise using a video

  • Eat healthy

  • Call or text a friend; keep in touch

  • Cook with your family

  • FaceTime/zoom “dinner parties” with friends and family

  • Listen to encouraging podcasts

  • Play family games

  • Read together 

  • Allow alone time

  • Draw, color, paint, allow for creativity

  • Do a puzzle

  • Gardening
