Weekly Coffee and Office Hours with Hōkūpaʻa
EVER WANTED TO HAVE COFFEE WITH SOMEONE FROM HŌKŪPA’A? YOU’RE IN LUCK!
Note: article updated 12/01/22 to reflect changes in hours and joining instructions.
Join the Hokupa’a Program Coordinator at the dining room table/home office for informal drop-in coffee hours (Tuesday mornings 8-9 AM).
There is no difference between the sessions, just the dates and times. If you want to have coffee in the evening, go ahead!
SO, WHY WOULD YOU JOIN OUR COFFEE/OFFICE HOURS?
You can ask questions about Hokupa‘a, college/training tools, services, and options for those in West Hawai‘i, community resources, and more.
These sessions are free to join and leave anytime — come when you can, and stay as long as you want.
Interact as much as you’re comfortable with — you can keep your video and microphone off.
Conversations depend on who’s in the room — bring a friend and whatever you want to discuss!
Who should join?
Students*/parents/community members wanting to learn more about resources and opportunities in West Hawai‘i
Local nonprofits/faith-based groups/businesses/etc. wanting to get connected
Teachers/counselors/school admins looking for someone to bounce ideas off of or help find partners for their school
Anyone wanting to talk about issues or promising ideas for the community.
